Why transfer my media?

Videotapes deteriorate over time. As your memories are stored away, they lose their magnetic signal. The sharpness, quality and color degrade as these items sit in your closet, dresser or wherever they are stored. Additionally, the tape itself actually gets brittle and breaks as it’s played. Transferring your analog videotape to digital allows you to keep your memories forever. Rather than having a bunch of tapes, slides, or negatives in your closet, I will put them onto digital media for you and your loved ones.

How long does it take?

This depends on the size of your order and what it all entails. I am a one-man show, so there is a backlog. That being said, I am extremely proud at my ability to turn orders over in a timely manner. If you have something that is needed immediately, let me know and we’ll see what we can do.

Do you have a shop? If so, where is it located?

I do this from my home, so your media is only handled by me. You will get all of your original media back in its original condition.

What about copyrights?

I do not transfer media that you do not own the copyrights for. If you are not the owner, I cannot transfer the items. If you have questions regarding this, please review the Copyright Act of 1976.

What if my items are in bad shape?

While I cannot guarantee that I will be able to transfer all the media you provide me, I will try my hardest to do so. If the media you provide is damaged beyond repair, I will let you know. You will not be charged for any media that I cannot transfer. I am also not liable for any damaged media you provide for transfer. If you chose to have me fix any items, I am not liable if it is damaged in the process. I take the utmost care of all of your memories, but unfortunately some items cannot be transferred. I will let you know as soon as possible if this is to happen.
